"The principles governing the acquisition and growth of wealth are simple and straightforward. Money is plentiful for those who understand and implement these principles.”
- Created Rich by Patrick Baker
Created Rich
In his 1990s book, Mr. Baker proposed a twist to the plentiful offering from books about getting rich. First, we must understand that humans are endowed with incredible capabilities and potential, and we must understand ourselves as already rich in abilities.
Consequently, our task is to uncover, understand, and apply the principles that will lead to money accumulation.
Second, the successful accumulation of money has two aspects. The aspect of acquiring the requisite spiritual (inner) values that will direct that money accumulation toward improving our quality of life (socio-emotional relationships). Next, the “mechanical’ aspect of money accumulation through socio-economic enterprises and investments.
Our Challenge Regarding Wealth Accumulation
For those of us who have lived paycheck to paycheck for a multigenerational period, we must take a sensible approach to gaining wealth. To succeed, we must be ready and willing to recognize and change the behaviors that lead us to be perpetual consumers and shift toward understandings and behaviors that will lead us to build perpetual wealth.
If you teach a person to fish…
“Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” This Chinese proverb loudly articulates the values needed in our neighborhoods. We must improve our capability to do for ourselves.
That value will guide our wealth-building programs. We must improve our capability to do for ourselves!
Let’s work together to improve the wealth of our neighbors.
Our programs are to begin in the third quarter of 2025.
